Volunteer Opportunities at Advocates for Rehabilitation & Transformation

At Advocates for Rehabilitation & Transformation (ART), we believe in the power of community-driven change and holistic support. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we offer a range of volunteer opportunities that allow individuals to make a meaningful impact while gaining valuable experience and contributing to transformative programs. By volunteering with ART, you will join a team committed to providing healing, empowerment, and growth for individuals seeking rehabilitation and personal transformation.

Our Programs & Volunteer Roles

We offer a variety of programs that promote holistic well-being, personal development, and community resilience. As a volunteer, you can contribute in one of the following areas:

Holistic Approach & Healing
Help provide a comprehensive support system for those in need by assisting with our holistic rehabilitation programs. Volunteers in this area may support clients with mindfulness practices, meditation sessions, alternative healing techniques, and wellness retreats designed to nurture the mind, body, and spirit.

Purpose-Driven Education
Volunteers can participate in our education programs, working alongside staff to deliver purpose-driven curricula that inspire and empower individuals to explore their passions, set goals, and work toward a brighter future. Whether you’re helping with tutoring, mentoring, or leading workshops, your contributions will foster growth and learning.

Peer Support
Become a pillar of encouragement and guidance by offering peer support to individuals in recovery. Your lived experience and empathy will help others on their path to healing by providing emotional support, sharing resources, and guiding participants through their journey.

Community Staff
Join our dedicated community staff team, where you’ll help foster a nurturing environment that emphasizes trust, safety, and mutual respect. Volunteers in community support roles may assist with daily activities, group events, or other tasks that promote a sense of belonging and togetherness.

Animal Husbandry
Work with our animals as part of our therapeutic animal husbandry program. Volunteers may care for rescued animals, assist with daily feeding and grooming, or support animal-assisted therapy sessions that help individuals connect with animals to enhance emotional healing.

Groundskeeper/Gardener
Be part of our environmental stewardship by supporting our beautiful grounds and gardens. Volunteers in this area help maintain outdoor spaces, tend to plants, and cultivate a peaceful environment that contributes to the overall well-being of our clients and community.

Administrative Staff
Support the operational backbone of our organization by volunteering in administrative roles. We seek volunteers with skills in legal, financial, social media, webmaster, or general administrative tasks. This may include assisting with grant writing, event coordination, accounting, or helping navigate legal and financial resources for those we serve.

Benefits of Volunteering

Volunteering with ART not only gives you the opportunity to contribute to life-changing work but also provides tangible benefits, including eligibility for certain government programs. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, ART volunteers can apply for government programs such as debt relief, college loan forgiveness, and other volunteer-related benefits.
